Wolfs in Ely, Minnesota!

My brother-in-law, Kyle Korzenowski sent me these photos. They were taken on Fall Lake just off shore from his cabin. He spotted wolf tracks on Thursday, evening (Dec. 29) when he was skiing on the lake at dusk. He also found fresh wolf tracks in his yard and woods onto the lake on Friday morning. There was a lone wolf finishing off the carcass when he got up in the morning, but it ran across the lake as he got down to the lake with his camera.

Brenden Canoeing in the BWCA!

Brenden sent me these photos of his canoe trip the Boundary Waters with his friend Thomas Walthour, (Thomas was a SAE brother at the U of M).


They put in at Pickett Lake / Mudro Access or the more famous "Chainsaw Sisters Saloon" Access.

This is a picture what the Saloon used to look like. It was sold and torn down.

Judy and Parker in Minnesota!

Judy and Parker went to Minnesota, July 13-26 and left me all alone. Below are some pics she took along with some sent to me by Deb Edwards and Katie Korzenowski.

First stop was to visit her Aunt Wanda Perusse.

She got to see her brother Scott, who now has dogs.

Then she was off to Ely, Minnesota to her brother, Kyle's cabin on Fall Lake.

She was greeted by the "Man of Ely" wearing the traditional purple towel.

So after Camp - Brenden flies back to Minnesota and spends the weekend with his uncle Kyle Korzenowski and his friend Wendell to go fishing in Ely.

Brenden sent me this photo of Fall Lake in Ely taken when he arrived up there.

This is the prize for going fishing in Ely - a 24 lb Northern.
It bit Wendell when he tried to get it in the boat. They never did get it in the boat.

Judy and Parker visited Judy's brother Kyle up at his cabin Ely from July 9th through the 17th.
